Audio Submenu

This submenu allows you to configure the audio settings through the DSC.

To use this submenu, press Enter to select this item, then press the
through the selections.
Audio Mute — Mutes and unmutes the output audio. The following audio mute
selections are available:
Off — Audio output is not muted (default).
Analog — (DSC 401 A only) Mutes the analog audio output only.
Digital — Mutes the embedded digital audio output only.
On — (DSC 401 A only) Mutes both the analog and the embedded digital audio
outputs (performs the same function as the Global mute SIS command, see the
Audio Mute commands
Audio Input Format — Selects the audio format for the input. Five formats are
available (see the
On the DSC 401 A, LPCM-2Ch Auto and Multi-Ch Auto modes cause embedded digital
audio to pass to the outputs. If no embedded digital audio is present, the analog audio
source is passed to the outputs.
NOTE: These Auto modes are useful when it is not known whether a source
provides embedded digital or analog audio (such as a podium laptop connection).
