7.
RELEASE the gas control knob and CHECK that the indicator needle is still
in the green zone. If the needle returns to the red zone go back to Step 1.
Note: The next step will light the main burner if the water needs heating. The
flames may be noisy at first. This is normal and will cease after 2-5 seconds.

TURN the gas control knob anticlockwise to
number 6. This will provide a water temperature of
about 60°C. This setting is also shown on the rating
label.
For a RheemPlus model, we recommend the dial be
turned to number 7.
Turn the knob to number 7 on a Rheemglas model if a higher water
temperature is required. Refer to
9.
REPLACE the access cover.
Note: The indicator needle will stay in the green zone while the water heater is
operating.
The main burner will now automatically ignite when heating is required and
extinguish when the water has been heated to the set temperature. If the main
burner does not light at the selected setting, the water may already be at the
selected temperature.
