Setting user-level passwords

Using an instant user-level password

An instant password secures your system with a single
keystroke. Use this feature when you leave your desk for a
few minutes and don't want to turn off the computer.

Press and hold
The screen goes blank.

To return to work, move the Dual Pointing Device or
press a key.
On the logon screen, select a user.

For the selected user:
The desktop displays.
Setting a Windows user password
To register a password for the Windows Logon and Instant
Password functions:

Click Start, then Control Panel.

Click User Accounts.
Make sure you use a password you can remember easily. If
you ever forget your password, contact your network
administrator.
A good way to prevent forgetting your password is to create a
password service diskette. Refer to
