IP aDDRESS DISTRIBUTION
The IP A IP Addr ddress Dis ess Distribution
Dynamic Host Confguration Protocol (DHCP) server parameters of
your Fios Router.
Once enabled and confgured, the DHCP server automatically
assigns IP addresses to any network devices which are set to
obtain their IP address dynamically.
If DHCP Server is enabled on your Fios Router, confgure the
network devices as DHCP Clients. There are 2 basic options in this
section: Dis Disabled abled and DHCP Serv
To set up the Fios Router's network bridge to function as a DHCP
server:
1. In the IP A IP Addr
s s erv erver er. Once enabled, the DHCP server provides automatic
IP assignments (also referred to as IP leases) based on the
preset IP range defned below.
• Start IP Addr Start IP A
range that the Fios Router will automatically begin
assigning IP addresses from. Since your Fios Router's
IP address is 192.168.1.1, the default Start IP Address is
192.168.1.2.
• End IP Addr End IP A
range that the Fios Router will automatically stop the
IP address allocation at. The maximum end IP address
range that can be entered is 192.168.1.254.
