DVD Auto Chapter
A DVD-Video consists of 'Titles' and 'Chapters' .
When you record one programme, it makes one Title.
If you use this function, the Title will be divided into Chapters.
Automatically divides a recording (a title) into chapters by inserting

chapter markings at specifi ed intervals. The markings are inserted while
the recording is being made.
Press the ▲▼ buttons to select DVD Auto Chapter, then press the OK

Press the ▲▼ buttons to select Off , 5Min or 15Min, then press the OK

button.
•
Off : No chapter mark is inserted.
•
5Min : Inserts chapter marks at approximately 5 minute intervals.
•
15Min : Inserts chapter marks at approximately 15 minute intervals.
Press the EXIT button to exit the menu.
3. Press the REC button to start recording.
(See page 55 about how to set recording mode)
4. Press the STOP button to stop recording.
5. To display the created titles, fi nalise the disc (See page 82) and then
press the TITLE MENU button. The title menu will be displayed.

The DVD Auto Chapter function does not work during Timer
Recording or when you turn the power off .
Format DVD-RW
Before insert a unused disc, you can select a recording format
(VR mode or Video mode) according to your needs.
Selects the format for an unused DVD-RW, when fi rst inserted.
•
VR : Automatically formats the disc in VR mode
•
Exit Video : Automatically formats the disc in Video mode
DVD Bilingual Rec.
Select the sound to be recorded on the disc.
This setting is not necessary when recording on DVD-RWs(VR mode)
that record both the main and sub sounds.
•
Main : Records the main sound for bilingual programs.
•
Sub : Records the sub sound for bilingual programs.
