Limitations On PFT/MDM Port To Prevent Relay Misoperation

To ensure proper operation of the system's PFT/MDM port, software version 02.10.09 disables hook-
flash, Barge In and Privacy Release for the telephone connected to the PFT/MDM port. Also, the
extension 316 user will hear reorder tone if they lift the handset while the telephone connected to the
PFT/MDM port is already on a call.
Display keyset users can press their HF REPLY (HFRP) soft key to turn off their telephone's
Handsfree microphone for incoming Intercom calls. In prior software versions, this capability was
only available using the system programming options 0201-Handsfree Reply on Intercom Calls
and 1802-Handsfree Reply on Intercom Calls.
22-Button and 34-Button Display Telephone Operation
To turn off your telephone's microphone for Incoming Intercom calls:

Press PGM + MORE . You see:

Press HFRP . You see:
The first line of the display indicates whether Handsfree Reply is on or off.

To turn Handsfree Reply on (if it is off), press ON .
OR
To turn Handsfree Reply off (if it is on), press OFF .
When you answer a voice-announced Intercom call (if Handsfree Reply is off):
You hear a single beep in your speaker and the voice of the calling party. The ICM ,
MIC
, and SPK keys are on.

To answer the voice-announcement, lift the handset.
OR
Press MIC to turn Handsfree Reply back on (for this call only).
