Enhanced Headset Operation

30 N 02.10.09
enables DND for all calls (type 3). If DND is enabled, pressing DND automatically dis-
ables DND.
When DND types 2 or 3 are enabled, Intercom callers hear DND tone and see "DO
NOT DISTURB" in their telephone's display.
If you don't make an entry for 10 seconds:
- If DND is disabled, the system automatically enables DND All Calls.
- If DND is disabled, the system automatically cancels DND.
To check your extension's DND type:
G
Look at the second line of your display. When you enable Do Not Disturb, the display will
show one of the following:
DND ALL
DND EXTERNAL
DND INTERCOM
The Class of Service option 0101-Flash for Single Line Sets allows you to enable or disable hook-
flash for analog single line extensions and 2-OPX Modules. If enabled (Y), a single line extension
can hookflash normally and use any of the associated system features. If disabled (N), hookflash is
prevented. This means the analog extension can not use any features that require a hookflash (such
as Hold, Conference, or Transfer). This may be helpful for lobby phones and single line Ringdown
Extensions that should not have access to system features.
When 0101-Flash for Single Line Sets is enabled (Y):
G
A single line extension user cannot seize a trunk and hookflash without dialing. If they do, the
system will disconnect the initial trunk call.
G
If a single line extension user hookflashes to place their current trunk call on Hold and then
hangs up, the trunk call will immediately recall the extension.
The option is ignored for Voice Mail ports (i.e., you cannot disable Flash in 0101-Flash for Single
Line Sets for ports marked as Voice Mail ports in 1802-Voice Mail Port).
Software version 02.10.09 enhances headset operation as follows. (Note that while an extension is
in the Headset mode, the system ignores all hookswitch depressions.)
G
Background Music
If programmed and connected, Background Music will broadcast over the telephone speaker
while the extension is in the Headset mode.
G
Central Office Calls, Answering
An extension user in the Headset mode can press Vol Up and Vol Down while idle to control
the volume of any call ringing their phone.
