1.13 Troubleshooting

1.13.1 Qube 300 is not powering up (All LEDs Off)

Attention: Improper ignition wire connection may prevent the Qube from waking up/coming
online
1. Cycle ignition key ON-OFF-ON to wake up the Qube. If all three Qube's diagnostic LEDs do
not come on, proceed to next step.
2. Disconnect all cables (power cable, M-Nav/MDT, ConEx cable) from the Qube to elim-
inate possibility of any devices causing short circuit. Perform a Cold Reset. Check
OnlineAVL2 if the Qube resumed normal operation.
3. Use digital multimeter to test the power harness: verify that you are receiving power,
ignition and ground signals at the Qube's power connector – at the pins. Locate and
replace blown fuses/fix wire connections/replace damaged cables. Check OnlineAVL2 if
the Qube resumed normal operation.
4. Perform Qube power up test at the vehicle's battery (see picture below). Check
OnlineAVL2 if the Qube resumed normal operation.
5. Make sure all unused wires from all Qube's harnesses are individually isolated/taped (cut
off tinned ends off all unused wires). Perform Cold Reset. Check OnlineAVL2 if the Qube
resumed normal operation.
6. If a spare/working Qube is available, plug it in to verify that it powers up normal and
starts reporting in OnlineAVL2 with existing wiring/antenna. If the spare Qube works,
remove the original Qube from vehicle for replacement. If the spare Qube does not
power up, there could be an "open" or "short circuit" in the existing wiring: replace all
Qube's wiring, including the main harness, fuses and fuse holders. If the spare Qube is
not available, remove the original Qube from vehicle for replacement.
7. When all troubleshooting fails or replacement hardware is required, contact Navman
Wireless Support from Contact list. Please, have Qube's serial number and brief descrip-
tion of issue.
