3. Wait for transition to warming-up phase:
When the splash screen disappears, the device is in the warming-up phase. A bar chart
in the dialog window shows the current temperature progress.
4. Access the measured value display during the warm-up phase:
– Close the warming-up window by pressing <ENTER>.

When commissioning for the first time, two methods can be used. You can commission the
device with the simplified process using the "[1] Quick Start" menu or opt for the more
detailed procedure described below.
• Additional information on the operating steps of the detailed procedure is available in the
operating instructions, see Table A-1 References 1 - Operating Manuals LUI (Page 135).
Make the necessary settings in the appropriate submenus.
• When you are working with the "[1] Quick Start" menu, you set the parameters of the
following menus one after the other:
→[1.1] Input of basic settings (Page 87)
→[1.2] Set automatic log-off (Page 88)
→[1.3] Set analog outputs (Page 89)
→[1.4] Measuring ranges (Page 91)
→[1.5] Calibration (Page 95)
→[1.6] Save parameter set (Page 101)
Short description of the detailed procedure
If you do not use the quick start procedure, commission the device with the steps described
below:
1. Call the main menu:
– Switch the measured-value display to selection mode. To do so, press <ENTER>.
– Press <Enter> again to open the main menu.
2. Identify device: → [3.09] Maintenance & Diagnostics > Identification.
3. Specify the PIN for the user levels:→ [5.1] Security > Access management.
In the factory settings, the PIN 1111 is the default for the "Standard" user level and PIN
2222 for the "Expert" user level.

The display shows the measured-value display in read mode.
For the duration of the warming-up phase, the device is in "Function check" mode.
