How to Set Up Your JSA7800 Appliance

Step 2: Connecting the Management Device
You can connect external devices using the ports on the back panel of the appliance.
If you use a laptop, connect the laptop to the DB-9 serial COM port on the back panel.

NOTE:
When using a laptop to connect to the appliance, you must use a terminal program, such as HyperTerminal,
to connect to the appliance.
NOTE:
If your laptop or PC does not have a DB-9 male connector pin and you want to connect your laptop or PC
directly to the JSA7800 appliance, use a combination of a USB to DB-9 male adapter and a DB-9 F/F cable.
Select the appropriate COM port to use.

Stop bits =1
Data bits = 8
Parity = None
Step 3: Configuring a JSA7800 Appliance
At the console prompt, log in as

The username is case sensitive.
