M onaural Recept ion
When poor stereo reception is experienced, this function w ill
reduce noise and improve listening conditions.

Hold dow n the M ENU button for one second or more.
"M ENU" is displayed and the menu mode is turned on.

Press the ¢ button repeatedly until the monaural reception
function appears in the display.
Press the 4 button to search in the other direction.
The function setting is indicated by "M ONO ON" or "M ONO
OFF" in the display, indicating that monaural reception is on or
off, respectively.

Sw itching settings
Press either the AM button or FM button.
The display and setting w ill change.
When monaural reception is on, the M ONO indicator turns on.

Press the M ENU button to end the menu mode.
St at ion Preset M em ory
Store the frequency of the station currently being listened to.
You can then recall that station w ith a single touch of a
button.

Select the band/ station that you w ant to have stored.

Hold dow n the button (#1-6) that you w ant to use for the
station, for tw o seconds or more.
The button number blinks once in the display to indicate that
the data has been stored.
Recalling a Preset Station:
Press the preset station button (#1-6) for the desired station.
The number of the recalled station is displayed.
N OTE
You can store 6 stations in each of the FM 1, FM 2, FM 3, and AM
(M W and LW) bands.
A ut o M em ory Ent ry
You can automatically store all the receivable frequencies in
the band currently being listened to, and then recall them w ith
the touch of a button later. This function is especially useful
w hen you are travelling and do not know w hat stations are
available. Up to 6 frequencies can be stored this w ay.

Select the band for auto memory entry.

Hold dow n the M ENU button for one second or more.
"M ENU" is displayed and the menu mode is turned on.

Press the ¢ button repeatedly until "A-M EM ORY" appears in
the display.
Press the 4 button to search in the other direction.

Hold dow n either the AM button or FM button for tw o seconds
or more to start auto memory function.
The numbers of the preset station buttons show ed in order.
When all the stations in a certain band are stored in the preset
memory, the auto memory entry stops. The tuner then plays
the last station received.
Recalling a Preset Station:
Press the preset station button (#1-6) for the desired station.
The number of the recalled station is displayed.
N OTE
• When the AF function is turned on w hilst auto memory entry
takes place, only RDS stations (i.e., stations w ith RDS
capability) are stored. RDS stations that have been preset for
FM 1 cannot also be preset in FM 2 or FM 3.
• When the local seek function is turned w hilst auto memory
entry takes place, stations w ith poor reception are not stored.
• When the Traffic Information function is on , only the local
traffic information station frequency w ill be stored.
Cancelling Auto M emory Entry During Its Operation:
Press the M ENU button w hilst auto memory entry is taking
place to stop the process.
