CYLINDER TO BOTTOM BLADE
ADJUSTMENT
To check that the cutting cylinder is set correctly to the
bottom blade: tilt the machine back, hold a thin piece
of paper between the edge of the blade and spiral
cutters, and turn the cylinder manually. Wear gloves
and keep hands clear of the blade
The paper should be cut cleanly along the length of
the bottom blade; if not, some adjustment is
necessary, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Adjustment is made by turning the adjustment screws
clockwise to move the cylinder towards the blade.
It is recommended that an 1/8 of turn is made
alternatively to each screw, checking frequently with
the paper until the correct setting is achieved.

CONCAVE
If the grass clippings do not enter the grassbox
satisfactorily, the concave needs adjusting:
1.
Release the two setscrews as indicated at each
side, which secure the concave to the side
frame.
2.
Move the concave until there is approximately
1.5mm (1/16in) between the concave and
cutting cylinder, measured as near to the centre
line of the cylinder as possible.
3.
Ensure that the concave aligns correctly with the
bottom edge of the bottom block before
retightening the setscrew.
NOTE: The concave must not touch the cutting
cylinder.
