Measuring and Adjusting
Water Hardness
Measuring water hardness is very important in order to
correctly manage the frequency with which the machine
must be descaled.
Immerse the water hardness test strip in water for 1
second.
the test strip is only valid
for one measurement.
Check how many squares change colour and then consult
the table.
The numbers correspond to the settings indicated in the
following machine adjustments.

HARDNESS 1 (very soft)

HARDNESS 2 (soft)
3
HARDNESS 3 (medium)
4
HARDNESS 4 (hard)

Press the "Programming" button to access the machine
programming mode. Press the "Programming" button until
the message "Cleaning alarm" is displayed.
Press the "+" button to increase the value or the "-"
button to decrease the value. Press the "Programming"
button to save.
The values that can be selected are the following:
• 50L the number corresponds to the hardness value of 4/3.
• 100L the number corresponds to the hardness value of 2.
• 180L the number corresponds to the hardness value of 1.
After 5 seconds of inactivity, the machine exits the
programming mode and returns to standard operating
mode.

Turning on/off the Machine

The machine can be turned on/off by pressing the button
located in the front part of the machine.
