Cleaning the Brew Unit, the
Filter Holder and the Filters
Rinse the filters and the filter holder with hot water after
each use and then carefully dry them.
To remove any coffee residue from the brew unit, let
water circulate and clean the unit and around the edge
using a damp cloth.
In the event that dispensing holes are clogged, use a brush
with thin bristles to remove coffee residues. Alternatively
also use the pin supplied with the machine. The pin is
located below the water tank lid, in the upper part of the
machine. The pin has two ends: the shortest one is to be
used to clean the dispensing holes of the filter holder.
10.2.8
Brew unit gasket
The gasket - placed on the lower part of the brew unit
head - allows to brew coffee without leaks if it is sealed
with the filter holder.
During long periods of
inactivity,
recommended not to leave
the filter holder attached to
the head of the brew unit
because it reduces the
service life of the gasket.
The gasket will lose its elasticity over time and must be
replaced - depending on the use - every 12 months on
average. Water and steam leaks from the head of the brew
unit while brewing coffee are signals that the gasket is
deteriorating.
