• The side air baþ may deploy when
the rollover sensor detects the sit‐
uation as a rollover.
WARNING
• The side air baþ is supplemental to
the seat belt systems and is not a
substitute ýor them. Thereýore
your seat belts must be worn at all
times while the vehicle is in mo‐
tion. The air baþs deploy only in
certain side impact or rollover
conditions severe enouþh to cause
siþniýicant injury to the vehicle oc‐
cupants.
• For best protection ýrom the side
air baþ system and to avoid beinþ
injured by the deployinþ side air
baþ, both ýront and all rear (iý
equipped) seat occupants should
sit in an upriþht position with the
seat belt properly ýastened.
• Do not use any accessory seat
covers.

• Use oý seat covers could reduce or
prevent the eýýectiveness oý the

• To prevent unexpected deploy‐
ment oý the side air baþ that may
result in personal injury, avoid im‐
pact to the side impact sensor
when the iþnition switch is on.

aþed, have the system serviced by
a proýessional workshop.

to any small openinþ near side air‐
baþ labels attached to the vehicle
seats. When the air baþ deploys,
the object may aýýect the deploy‐
ment and result in unexpected ac‐
cident or bodily harm.
