12. Remove the screw (L) and remove the grass guard
(M).

13. Remove the 4 screws (H) from the crankcase half (I)
on the flywheel side.
14. Remove the gasket (K) and the guides (J).
15. Remove the crankshaft (N) from the crankcase half
(O) on the starter side.

16. Use a screwdriver or equivalent to remove the seal
ring from the crankcase halves.

17. Discard the seal ring.

18. Use a snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring from
the crankcase on the flywheel side.
CAUTION: Remove the seal rings carefully.
The crankcase is easily damaged.
