• The Jack Screw (D) can be used in the vertical posi-
tion to help secure the machine. Use a piece of wood
or conduit to brace against an opposing wall or ceiling
and tighten the jack screw.
Attaching Drill Motor to Drill Stand:
• If not factory installed, or if an additional Spacer
(W) is required for a new diamond bit size, the drill
motor must be attached or re-attached to the Motor
Mounting Adaptor (H).
• Loosen the Carriage Lock Handle (G), and use the
Crank Handle (B) to raise the Carriage (K) upward
on the Column (J).
• Lock the Carriage Lock Handle (G) in the upper
position.
• Align the Key (X1) in the Motor Mounting Adaptor
(H) to the recess in the Motor.
• Depending on the motor manufacturer, the mounting
hardware thread pitch and mounting bolt pattern may
vary. Two sets of mounting holes are available in the
Motor Mounting Adaptor (H). Align proper mounting
holes of the Motor Mounting Adaptor (H) and motor,
then loosely install hardware. Tighten hardware to
the torque value shown in chart at right (minimum).
• If a Spacer (W) will be required to mount the diamond
bit, install Spacer (W) between the Carriage (K) and
Motor Mounting Adaptor (H). Be sure that Keys (X2,
X3) are installed on each side of the Spacer (W). See
chart at right for more information. Tighten Spacer
(W) hardware securely. Torque to value shown in
chart at right.
• Attach Control Panel (Y) to Carriage (K) at the "slip-on"
spade connection. See "Control Panel (Y) Parts &
Electrical Connections" diagram at right.
• Attach Male Plug (BB) from Drill Motor to female re-
ceptacle on top of Control Panel (Y). See "Control
Panel (Y) Parts & Electrical Connections" diagram
at right.
• Attach Male Plug (CC) from Vacuum Pump (M) to fe-
male receptacle on bottom of Control Panel (Y). See
"Control Panel (Y) Parts & Electrical Connections"
diagram at right.
Water Supply:
• When using a motor that has a water supply
connection and drilling with a wet diamond bit,
attach the necessary water supply connections. Use
either a direct connection to the water source, or a
pressurized water tank. An adequate flow of clean
water under pressure of approximately 40 PSI (2.8
Bars) and not lower than 20 PSI (1.4 Bars) is usually
satisfactory to flush the cuttings from the hole and
furnish coolant to the diamond bit.

Verify that motor mounting hardware is correct BE-
FORE assembling motor to mounting adaptor, else
damage to motor mounting threads may occur.
