Fault
Thread breakage
The machine doesn't sew
Fabric piles up
Cause
Threading is incorrect.
The needle is bent.
The thread tension is incorrect.
The upper thread is tangled.
Retractable thread stand is not
fully extended.
No power supply.
The main power switch is
switched off.
Machine is overheated.
The presser foot pressure is
incorrect.
Solution
> Rethread the machine. (see page 87)
> Insert a new needle. (see page 45)
> Adjust the thread tension. (see page 87)
> Check the thread spool. (see page 38)
> Raise the retractable thread stand fully. (see page 38)
> Connect the machine. (see page 37)
> Switch the machine on. (see page 37)
> Switch the machine off and let it cool down for 10 - 15
min. (see page 37)
> Reduce the presser foot pressure. (see page 85)
