2.6 User channel entry

This item registers the communication frequencies for radiotelephone, NBDP, and DSC. The regis-
tered frequencies can be used to specify frequencies for telephone and NBDP communication in
DSC message, and, of course, for DSC communication.
Pressing [#/SETUP] key reveals "Setup menu" screen. Select USER CH, and press [ENT] key. Then,
the following "User channel entry" screen appears.
Note) To controle the frequency of the radiotelephone from the DSC remotely, the user channel of
the DSC is started from zero for distinguishing from the ITU channel. After editing a send message,
a transmission frequency must be entered. To make this operation easy, pressing [FILE] key lists
the registred user channels.

1. Select MODE by pressing [<-] key and press [ENT] key. Then, "TEL, NBDP, DSC" mode display
appears. Select the mode to be registered and press [ENT] key.
2. Select CH by pressing [->] key and press [ENT] key. Then, "Channel entry" screen appears. Enter
a channel number to be used with the numeric keys and press [ENT] key.
Note) Upper two digits of channel number represent a frequency band and lower two digits
represent a channel in the frequency band. Total possible number of the registrations is 256
channels. Up to 4 DSC channels can be registered in each frequency band. Band 0 is used only for
DSC. Frequencies in band 0 is listd in OTHER band of the frequency table.
3. When a channel is selected with [ENT] key, on the channel table the selected channel highlights.
If the selected channel is not registered yet, 0.0 kHz is displayed. Enter the transmitting and receiv-
ing frequency from the numeric keys and press [ENT] key. To delete the registered frequency, enter
0.0 kHz. Do the same for receiving frequency.
