    Pause Button The PAUSE button allows you to insert a 3.6 second pause in the dialing sequence. This is particularly useful if you are con- nected to a PABX system where you must dial an access code (usually the number 9) to obtain an outside line. 1.

    The CALL WAITING (CW) sym- bol will flash for 16 seconds along with the telephone number and name of the per- son who is on call waiting. Press the FLASH button to put the existing call on hold and an- swer the new call.

    Using Your Caller ID Telephone Caller ID Service and Call Waiting Caller ID Service The “caller identification” service (Caller ID) allows the call- er’s phone number and/or name to be shown on the display as the call comes in before you pick up the phone. In order to use this feature, YOU MUST FIRST SUBSCRIBE TO THE CALLER ID SERVICE provided by your local telephone com- pany.
