news and entertainment. XM© Radio first started in September 2001 and Sirius© Radio began in July 2002.

System Operation

Refer to Figure 2-1. An XM© radio is currently available as an "add on" to a stereo system either in the car or in
the home (top and middle radio in Figure 2-1). Later the XM© system will be added to a portable boom box and
AM/FM car receivers (upgrade to XM© radio in the bottom part of Figure 2-1).
