Rack Mounting

This switch can be mounted in a standard 19-inch equipment rack surface. Prior rack
mounting the switch, pay particular attention to the following factors:
• Mechanical Loading: Do not place any equipment on top of a rack-mounted unit.
• Circuit Overloading: Be sure that the supply circuit to the rack assembly is not overloaded.
• Grounding: Rack-mounted equipment should be properly grounded. Particular attention
should be given to supply connections other than direct connections to the mains.
To rack-mount devices with sliding rail:
1. Assemble the inner rail to switch
Place the inner rail along one side of the switch, align the mounting holes in the inner rail
to the standoff of the switch, and then fasten the inner rail to the switch. Repeat the similar
step to attach the inner rail to the other side of the switch.
2. Assemble the outer rail to the rack cabinet.
Push the middle rail back into the outer rail. Then repeat the similar step to assemble
another middle rail into the outer rail. Make sure the L-shaped of the rear bracket is facing
inward, align and push the rail firmly into the rear rack until it clicks into place. Then pull the
latch of the front bracket and align the hooks with the front rack holes. Release the latch to
lock the hooks into place.
