The software in the Control Unit must disable the pulses before the power supply for the pulses
on the PSA is removed by the hardware controller otherwise the alarm message "F30100 valve
status drive system A" will be generated.
Once the "Decelerate to n=0 and pulse suppression" command has been withdrawn and a
delay time has elapsed (PDE 0, parameter name p20159, factory setting T = 12 s), operation
can be resumed with the "Acknowledge Safe Torque Off" or "Acknowledge" command.
The delay time PDE 0 must be coordinated with the delay time for time relay -K120 (PDE 0, T =
T
delay -K120
before delay time PDE 0 has elapsed.
Note
Before delay time PDE 0 elapses, operation of the "Acknowledge Safe Torque Off" or
"Acknowledge" button will have no effect.
To prevent faults, the "Acknowledge Safe Torque Off" or "Acknowledge" button must be
operated at least for the set time PDE 1 (factory setting T = 500 ms).
If the circuit breaker trips due to a fault in the control of option "Safe Torque Off" (2nd switch-off
signal path), this will be indicated by the fault message "F49055 Circuit breaker opened due to
STO".
Selecting option "Safe Torque Off" in the STARTER commissioning program or running the
optional macro PM001590 will interconnect the 3 binary inputs to terminals on the D445/D455.
The acknowledgment command is also interconnected to control word STW3 bit 14. Both
acknowledge inputs are equivalent in order to facilitate an enable via either the "Acknowledge
Safe Torque Off" button or via the fieldbus ("Acknowledge" button).
