Installing the Interface Cable

Connect the interface cable to the host computer. Plug the in-

terface cable modular connector into the interface cable port
on the rear of the LS 9208.

2. Push the connector into the housing until a "click" sound is
heard. The green LED lights up and three short high beeps
sound, indicating that the scanner is operational.
3. Scan the appropriate bar code(s) beginning on page 73 to
setup communication with the host.

Removing the Interface Cable

Unplug the installed cable's modular connector by depressing the
connector clip and gently pulling back.

Scanning Operation

The LS 9208 offers two methods to scan bar codes:
• Triggerless, omni-directional scanning
• Triggered, single-line scanning.
