Fitting the connection set
for surface mounting
To enable trouble-free installation of the pipework, fit pipes in the following sequence:
gas connection, heating flow, heating return, hot water, cold water.
- Trim gas pipe from connection set at both ends.
Attach union nuts and locking rings, and insert support sleeves into gas pipe. Insert
gas pipe into elbow at gas ball valve and into twin connector at connection panel
and secure tightly with locking ring fittings.
- Trim heating flow and heating return pipes from connection set at both ends. Attach
union nuts and locking rings, and insert support sleeves into heating flow and
heating return pipes.
Insert pipes into elbow at straight-through maintenance valve and into twin
connector at connection panel and secure tightly with locking ring fittings.
- Trim hot water pipe from connection set at both ends and insert support sleeves
into hot water pipe.
Insert hot water pipe into twin connector at cylinder and into twin connector at
connection panel and secure tightly with locking ring fitting.
- Cold water connection without safety assembly:
Trim cold water pipe from connection set at both ends and insert support sleeves
into cold water pipe.
Insert cold water pipe into twin connector at cylinder and into twin connector at
connection panel and secure tightly with locking ring fitting.
- Cold water connection with safety assembly without pressure reducer or safety
assembly with pressure reducer:
Fit supplied pipe parts to safety assembly without pressure reducer or safety
assembly with pressure reducer (the cold water pipe from the connection set is not
required). Trim pipe parts and secure tightly with support sleeves and locking ring
fittings.
Please note: Do not install any shut-off systems, dirt traps or other
constrictions between cylinder and safety valve.
- Trim cylinder flow pipe from connection set and attach union nut and locking ring at
cylinder end.
Insert support sleeve into pipe.
Connect the tank flow pipe to the DHW storage tank with the clamping ring union
and to the front left connection of the gas boiler with the flat gasket.
- Trim cylinder return pipe from connection set and attach union nut and locking ring
at cylinder end.
Insert support sleeve into pipe.
Connect the tank return pipe to the DHW storage tank with the clamping ring union
and to the front right connection of the gas boiler with the flat gasket.
Connect cylinder temperature sensor in control unit at SF 1 2 (see also installation
instructions for wall mounted gas condensing boiler CGB-2(K)).
Fully insert sensor into sensor well.
Fill heating system and vent very carefully. During the filling process,
vent the gas boiler at the air vent screws on the cylinder flow and
cylinder return.
Fill the DHW storage tank.
