Configuring the Avaya Endpoint Access Control Agent
Certificate management
The Avaya EAC Agent manages an individual Java based Keystore that is installed as
<installdir>/resources/keystore file. You can pre-populate this certificate store by installing
Avaya EAC Agent on a system while attempting a User Session for SNAS. The Avaya EAC
Agent prompts you with a Certificate warning. You can select the Always option to add the
certificate to the specified keystore. This keystore can be used as a pre-populated keystore
and deployed during an Avaya EAC Agent installation, using MSI customization. Alternatively,
you can use the certificates already installed on your desktop in the MSCAPI Certificate
stores.
Note:
To use MSCAPI Certificates, Avaya EAC Agent must be installed with a bundled JRE or with
JRE 6 or later .
For JRE 6, Avaya EAC Agent trusts all the certificates that are present in the ROOT Certificate
store on your system. If the Trusted Certificate is not found in the Avaya EAC Agent Keystore
or MSCAPI ROOT Truststore on the system with JRE 6, System Profiles cannot log on to
SNAS. If trusted certificate is not found in any of the truststores, User Profiles prompts the user
with a Certificate warning.
For Avaya EAC Agent with an empty keystore using JRE 5 or earlier and no MSI Customization,
you must attempt a User Session to accept SNAS Certificate with the Always option, before
attempting a system session for the first time.
