IMPORTANT:
- DO NOT underfill or overfill the Measuring Scoop. Underfilling the
Scoop can cause fewer kernels to pop and more kernels to come out
from the Chute during popping. Overfilling can cause the kernels to
burn and smoke.
- DO NOT add oil or butter to the Popping Chamber.
- DO NOT pop kernels without the Cover in place.
3. Place the Measuring Scoop back into it's place in the Cover or use
the Measuring Scoop as a butter melting cup if buttered popcorn is
desired. Place up to 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of butter or margarine
into the Measuring Scoop then place back in position on
top of the Cover. DO NOT overfill the Measuring Scoop. The butter
will melt while the popcorn is popping.
4. Place a large (3 L/Q) heat resistant bowl under the popping chute.
NOTE: If using a metal bowl below the Chute use oven mitts to
remove it after the popping cycle as it will become very hot.
5. Plug unit into a 120 volt AC outlet. Press the On/Off Switch to the
On position.
6. Popping will only take a few minutes. When kernels have fully
popped, press the On/Off Switch to the Off position then unplug the
appliance from the wall outlet.
7. If butter or margarine was added to the Measuring Scoop, use oven
mitts or pot-holders and remove the Measuring Scoop by the handle.
Pour butter or margarine over the bowl of popcorn.
8. Any remaining popcorn in the Popping Chamber can be removed by
tilting the appliance forward. NOTE: The Cover will be hot, use oven
mitts or potholders.
9. Eat popcorn as is or add your favorite toppings such as: salt
and pepper, popcorn seasoning salts, butter or margarine, caramel,
Parmesan cheese and more....
ADDITIONAL BATCHES
1. Before popping an additional batch allow the unit to cool for 15
minutes. If there is any unpopped corn remaining in the appliance,
remove it from the base before starting a new batch.
2. If the Measuring Scoop was used to melt butter or margarine, wash
before using to measure kernels.
3. IMPORTANT: If the unit overheats, it will stop automatically and
restart after it has cooled down. DO NOT leave the Corn Popper
plugged in if it has stopped automatically.
