6.10.2 Fitting the burner to the burner plate

DANGER:
Injury/system damage through excess loads.
▶ Use suitable lifting gear for mounting the burner.
WARNING:
Damage to health, including skin and eye irritation, as a result of
inhaling or coming into contact with fibre dust.
Fibre dust may be inhaled when working on the thermal insulation and
insulating rings.
▶ Wear a breathing mask and protective glasses with side shields when
working on the thermal insulation.
▶ Wear gloves and clothing that is loose-fitting around the neck and
wrists. Clean off dirty clothing before removing or changing it
(e.g. by vacuuming, although never use compressed air).
NOTICE:
Risk of system damage from incorrect or missing insulating rings.
▶ Only use the insulating rings supplied.
For installation and connection:
▶ Refer to the installation instructions of the relevant burner.
As standard, the thermal insulation in the burner door has an aperture of
270 mm for the blast tube. If the blast tube is larger than this, the
diameter of the aperture can be increased to a maximum of 360 mm.
If the hole in the thermal insulation of the burner door is increased, the
insulating rings supplied will no longer fit ( fig. 18, [4], page 22).
If the diameter of the blast tube is greater than 360 mm, speak to your
supplier. If the blast tube is not long enough to reach the inner edge of the
thermal insulation, a 45° chamfer can be applied to the thermal
insulation.
To mount the burner.
▶ Refer to the installation instructions of the relevant burner.
▶ Open the burner door ( chapter 6.9.1, page 20).
▶ Push a gasket ( fig. 17, [1], page 22) onto the burner connector.

rings [4].
