Malfunction
Water flow too low.
Target value range is too low.
Heating does not warm
up enough
Weather-dependent T-HS control active.

tive heater booster not cut in.
Water volume in heating system too low
Hot water supply is taking too much of the out-
put of the heat pump.
Hot water preparation shut off (e.g. switching
time program is in the economy phase,
parameters for hot water preparation incor-
rectly set).
Storage tank charging temperature too low.
Draw-off rate too high.
Output of heat pump too low.
Hot water does not warm
up

Possible solution
● Check that all stop valves of the water circuit are
completely open.
● Check that the water filter is dirty.
● Check that the expansion tank is defective.
● Completely vent the heating system and the internal
circulation pump.
● On the controller (rotary switch position "Info"
check whether sufficient water pressure (> 0.5 bar) is
available; if necessary, top up heating water.
● Check that the resistance in the water circuit is not too
high for the pump (see reference manual for the
outdoor unit technician).
● Increase parameter [Heat-Slope].
● Increase parameter [T vbh1 max].
● Increase parameter [Max T-Flow].
● Check "HC Configuration" level settings of the param-
eters [T-Outside lim day], [Heat-Slope] and the
settings in rotary switch position "Set Temp Day"
.
● Check mains supply of the backup heater (EKBUxx).
● Thermal contactor (STB) on the backup heater
(EKBUxx) has triggered. Unlock.
● Check parameters [Function Heating Rod], [BUH s1
power] and [BUH s2 power].
● Check admission pressure in the expansion tank and
water pressure; if necessary, top up heating water and
adjust admission pressure (see chap. 7.4).
● Check parameter [Function Heating Rod] settings in
"Configuration" level, "Setup" sub-level.
● Check parameter [Power DHW] settings in "Configu-
ration" level, "System Configuration" sub-level.
● Check the operating mode setting.
● Check the request parameters.
● Increase the target hot water temperature.
● Reduce the draw-off rate, limit throughput.
● Check the switching times for room heating and hot
water supply for overlaps.
● Check admission pressure in the expansion tank and
water pressure; if necessary, top up heating water and
adjust admission pressure (see chap. 7.4).
● Check mains supply of the backup heater (EKBUxx).
● Thermal contactor (STB) on the backup heater
(EKBUxx) has triggered. Unlock.
● Check parameters [Function Heating Rod], [BUH s1
power] and [BUH s2 power].
