Operating controls, menu and
connections
The following elements are featured on / in the hous-
ing of the iSolar DL3:

Operating control LED

The operating control LED indicates the operating
status of the iSolar DL3 by issuing flashing signals.
Red/green flashing: The device is booting
Green:
The device is ready for operation /
SD card can be removed
Green flashing: Do not remove the SD card! Data
are being copied onto the SD card
Red flashing:
An error has occurred. The error will
be indicated on the display
LED off:
No power supply

Buttons

The device is operated via the three push buttons
next to the display. The push buttons have the follow-
ing functions:
• Button 1: Scrolling upwards
• Button 3: Confirming
• Button 2: Scrolling downwards

Values and adjustments can be changed in different

An option can be selected by pressing buttons 1 and
2 and then confirming by pressing button 3. Now the
option can be activated: By pressing buttons 1 and 2,
Yes can be selected to activate, No to deactivate the
option. The selection can be confirmed by pressing
button 3.
Numeric values can be adjusted by means of a slide
bar. The minimum value is indicated to the left, the
maximum value to the right. The number above the
slide bar indicates the current adjustment. By pressing
buttons 1 and 2, the upper slide bar can be moved to
the left or to the right.
Only after the adjustment has been confirmed by
pressing button 3 will the number on the right-hand
side above the slide bar indicate the new value. The
new value will be saved if it is confirmed by pressing
button 3 again.
If only one item of several can be selected, they will
be indicated with "radio buttons". When one item has
been selected, the radio button in front of it is filled.
If more than one item of several can be selected, they
will be indicated with checkboxes. When an item has
been selected, an x appears inside the checkbox.

Display

During normal operation, the iSolar DL3 indicates the
status display (see fig. page 8). Buttons 1 and 2 can
be used to switch between the displays.
If no button has been pressed within a couple of min-
utes, the display illumination is switched off.
