Flexible Service System (FSS)
The FSS perm its a flexible service
schedule that is directly related to
the operating conditions of the
vehicle.
The sym bol K 3 or appears
in the main odom eter field prior to
the next suggested service.

D epending on operating conditions
throughout the year, the next
service is calculated and displayed
in days or distance rem aining.
The m essage is displayed for
approx. 10 seconds when turning
the electronic key in steering lock
to position 2, or it can be canceled
m anually by pressing button 0.
Once the suggested term has
passed, the message plus symbol
| £ 3 or E 3 , preceded by a -
(m inus sym bol) blinks, when
turning the electronic key to
position 2.
The FSS display can also be called
up for approx. 10 seconds with
display illum inated by pressing
button 0 twice.
Following a com pleted service the
M ercedes-Benz dealer sets the
counter to 10 000 m iles (Canada:
P 5 4 - 0 2 7 3 - B 1 3 A
15 000 km) and 365 days.
