Fiber transceiver | PRA-SFPLX, PRA-SFPSX

15.1

Introduction

The PRA-SFPSX and PRA-SFPLX are compact SFP fiber transceivers. The PRA-SFPSX is for use
with multi‑mode fibers, covering distances up to 550 m. The PRA-SFPLX is for use with single
mode fibers, covering distances up to 10 km. These are OEM transceivers, made for Bosch by
Advantech for use in Bosch Public Address and Voice Alarm systems. An SFP transceiver locks
into the SFP socket of the PRAESENSA multifunction power supply and Ethernet switch. It is
compliant with IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet standards for maximum performance, reliability
and flexibility. Both transceivers are certified for EN 54‑16 in combination with PRAESENSA
systems.
