    The exact layout and contents of your Praesideo system depends on the purpose for which you want to use it and the physical location in which it is installed. The system has a modular equipment approach, which means that it is possible to add additional functionality any time by adding equipment.

    All Praesideo type numbers have a manufacturer warranty of 3 years. Bosch ST guarantees a service period of at least 5 years after the product reaches its commercial End of Life. In this service period, spare parts or the possibility to have each unit repaired is available.

(See chapter 13) Preventive Maintenance The preventive maintenance intervention of the Praesideo system depends on the ambient conditions. All power amplifiers have fans which blow ambient dust to the PCB’s this raises the intervention times.

    To prevent travelling remote access to the network controller is a nice feature. In the Praesideo Application Note “Remote access to the Network Controller” is described how to connect a LAN modem via your regular telephone line. With this application you are able to remotely change settings, download software and the possibility to look in the diagnose page at the fault events.

    This manual can be found on the CD-ROM delivered with the Network Controller. If a fault occurs on the Praesideo system the yellow LED starts blinking on the call station. The event of the fault will be reported in the diagnose page.

    General: There has been a possibility that the Shortcut to ground circuit could brake down in the Praesideo boosters which are or have been connected to the 48V DC back up power supply. The Shortcut to ground circuit could brake down due to a too high voltage while connecting the 48V DC back up power supply.

    Follow the instructions on the screen and fill in a name for the connection (for example: Praesideo). Press <OK> to continue. Select the serial port you will use to connect the network controller of the Praesideo system with the PC. You may also make the actual connection at this moment by using an RS232 1:1 cable.
