Workstation CD-ROM into the CD
drive.

Install Windows NT.
Press [Enter].

Insert the 1.44-MB diskette labeled
Hardware Support Disk for
Microsoft® Windows NT® 4.0 (AK-
REQP*-CA) into the 1.44-MB drive.

AlphaBIOS setup screen displays.
CD-ROM drive is ready.
Windows NT setup procedure starts. The following
message is displayed:
Setup could not determine the type of computer you
have, or you have chosen to manually specify the
computer type.
Select the computer type from the following list, or
select " Other" if you have a device support disk
provided by your computer manufacturer.

" Please insert the disk labeled Manufacturer-supplied
hardware support disk into drive A:. Press Enter when
ready."
You have chosen to configure a computer for use with
Windows NT using a device support disk provided by the
computer's manufacturer.
Select the computer type from the following list, or
press [Esc] to return to the previous screen.
=>Compaq Professional Workstation XP1000 (NT 4.0 or
NT 5.0). (Your screen may show a different series
name.)
