5. Installing the Ink Cartridges

Ink Type

For FH-740, it is necessary to select an appropriate ink type depending on the ink to be employed.
 PIGMENT 4COLOR ( 4 colors of CMYK )
Two ink cartridges are necessary respectively for cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.
 PIGMENT LcLm (6 colors of CMYKLcLm)
Two ink cartridges are necessary respectively for cyan and magenta, and one ink cartridge is necessary re-
spectively for yellow, black, light cyan, and light magenta.
 PIGMENT OrGr ( 8 colors of CMYKLcLmOrGr )
One ink cartridge is necessary respectively for each of cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan, light magenta,
orange, and green.
Installing the Ink Cartridges
SET CARTRIDGE
Be sure to follow the onscreen instruc-
tions for insertion and removal.
 Insert and remove slowly, one at a time.
 Insert firmly, as far as it will go.
 Insert firmly until you hear a beep.
CAUTION
