2-1 E ngien Removal
Note:
Fo

engine remova

is
not necessary
to remove
ll1e magneto assembly or primary
sheave
assembly.
However,
crankshaf
t
maintenance
does require, their
removal
.
Maintenance
of
the
magneto assembly
and
pr
imary sheaves can
be done
w
ith the
engine in the
snowmobile
frame.
2-1-1 Removing the Double Seat
The
doub le seat
is bolted
at its
front and
rear
ends.
The
rear end
is
fastened
with two
13
mm
nuts located beneath
t he
seat.
A
s
f
o
r the
fro
nt end, the SL292C
doub
le
seat
is
secured
w ith
a
panh
ead screw, and the
GP2928
with a
10
mm bolt.
Note:
The
10
mm
bolt mean
s
that its
distance across flats
of
the
hex
ago
n head is
10
mm.
Note:
Before removing the
double seat, disconnect
the
stop/
ta
ii
lamp
connector at
the front of the daub le
seat.
