Removal
1. Disconnect wiring harness plug (36) from volt-
age regulator (37).

2. Remove nine Torx screws (6) using a T20 Torx
bit. Remove covers (21, 26).

NOTE: If desired, disconnect field coil plug (30) from
receptacle (35). This will provide additional clearance
when removing the thermal switch.

3. Remove the plastic tie strap securing the wires
together.
