The following section introduces you to the operator controls and features of the
MOBIC.

S Protective cover
This is used to protect the USB, external PCMCIA, and Ethernet ports and the
power supply connector (power supply unit) (see also Figure 2-2).
S On/Off button
To save battery power you can set the unit to a sleep mode (off) and then return
it to normal operation (on).
S Function keys F1 to F5
You can assign regularly required functions to the five function keys (see also
Section 7.2).
S Touchscreen
Touch-sensitive screen of your MOBIC, your input interface.
S Status indicators (LEDs)
There are a total of four LEDs that indicate the status of the unit.
S Loudspeaker
The integrated loudspeaker allows you to play audio files.
S Carrying strap attachment points
These are used to secure the shoulder or hand strap.
