Enabling of diagnostic interrupts
You enable the diagnostic interrupts in the device configuration with the basic parameters.
The technology module can trigger the following diagnostic interrupts:
Table 5- 4
Possible diagnostic interrupts
Diagnostic interrupt
Parameter error
•
Hardware interrupt lost
•
Internal error
•
Watchdog tripped. Module is defective.
•
RS422/TTL error
•
Supply voltage missing
•
Short-circuit / overload at external encoder supply
•
Error at digital outputs
•
Supply voltage error
•
2
SSI encoder error
•
Invalid transition of A/B signals
•
Overtemperature
•
Not available in "Position input for "Motion Control"" technology object" operating mode
1
No longer available as of module version V1.3. This case is then taken into account by the diagnostic interrupt "Supply

voltage missing".

Monitoring
Monitoring is always active. A diagnostic interrupt is trig-
gered each time an error is detected.
Monitoring is always active. When an error is detected, a
diagnostic interrupt is only triggered if "Enable diagnostic
interrupt on wire break" is activated in the device configura-
tion.
Monitoring is always active. When an error is detected, a
diagnostic interrupt is only triggered if "Enable additional
diagnostic interrupts" is activated in the device configuration.
