36. HOW TO COLLECT CONFIGURATION AND SYNCHRONIZE

Function: After the configuration file of the slave controllers in FS18 automatic
fire alarm system is updated, the master controller collects the updated
configuration file of the slaves via FC18-Bus and synchronizes them to each
related slave.
Steps:
1. Press "Menu" to browse the main menu (Fig. 36-1)
Main menu displayed.
2. Press "→" to select "Brow" submenu (Fig. 36-2). Select "All" and then press
"OK". Now the tree diagram will be displayed in the window (Fig.36-3).
4. Select the host machine in the tree diagram, then press "Menu" to browse
the main menu, and press "→" to select "Collect cfgs and sync" (Fig.36-3)
submenu to start collecting the configuration and sync.
Note:
"Collect cfgs and sync" is available when there's misconfiguration in
the system.
Use the engineering tool FXS1800 to set the master controller. Only
the master controller can distribute and update the configuration file
of each slave controller.
The configuration distribution takes a long time when there are many
controllers in the system or the configuration file is large. The
distribution finishes when system is in below status:
There's no misconfiguration or distribute cfgs ongoing.

Each slave controller restarts and completes the initialization
-
Start "Distribute cfgs" after the system completes startup, which is
when the screen indicator stops flashing.
