I Handling Instructions
Q WARNING:
Please read the handling instructions provided with the battery before use to ensure proper use of the
battery.
Instructions at Start of Use
1. Requests Before Using
8 This battery is a sealed, non-spillable battery. Since performance following activation decreases, do not
peel off the filler port seal (cap strip) that seals the battery filler ports until just before use.
8 Store the battery in a cool, dry location not subjected to direct sunlight. Failure to do so can cause a
decrease in performance.
8 Store the electrolyte container provided with the battery out of the reach of children.
2. Filling Procedure (Preparations)
Caution:
Fill the battery according to the procedure described
below after confirming that the battery type of and type
of electrolyte provided match. Failure to use the proper
electrolyte can result in leakage of battery fluid.
Important:
Check that the sealing plug is present. The sealing plug
is provided to also serve as a protective cap for the filler
ports of the electrolyte container.
(Procedure)
Important:
8 The capacity and lifetime of the sealed MF bat-
tery are greatly affected by the amount of elec-
trolyte. Thus, confirm that the entire amount of
electrolyte has been added during filling.
8 Follow the handling instructions provided with
the electrolyte (shown at right) when filling the
battery with electrolyte.
3. Battery Installation
Securely connect the battery to the lead wires of your vehicle while being careful not to mistake the (+)
and (-) poles of the battery. Particular caution is required during connection since incorrect connection can
damage the electrical system of your vehicle.
Electrolyte Filling Procedure
8
Always make sure to remove the battery from the vehicle before filling with electrolyte.
IMPORTANT
8
Only use electrolyte that is compatible with the type of battery being used.

press down on the filling
ports firmly in a single stroke.
Bubbles will come up from at least one of the
three filler ports on the left and right sides, and
electrolyte will begin to enter the battery.
CAUTION: Electrolyte will not flow properly into
the battery if the electrolyte container
is positioned on an angle.
