When the Enhanced Security mode is enabled, the authentication method is set to the MFP authentication.
To store print data in memory in the machine or on the HDD, you need to enter the user name and password.
For details of the printer controller and printer driver which support the Enhanced Security mode, contact
your service representative.

Before correction
The CE password and adminis-
trator password should be com-
prised of 8 alphanumeric
characters (the alphabetic char-
acters are case-sensitive).
As for the CE password, admin-
istrator password and account
password, the machine recog-
nizes the last entered character
as the eighth character if 8 or
more characters are entered.

When the Enhanced Security
mode is set to ON, the following
functions are available using a
USB port.

USB memory

Registering data in Density

Enhancement of Password
After correction
Specify the CE password and
administrator password using 8
to 64 alphanumeric characters
(the alphabetic characters are
case-sensitive).
If the account password is
specified with eight or more
characters, the last entered
character will be identified as
the eighth character.
After correction
When the Enhanced Security
mode is set to ON, the following
functions are available using a
USB port.
