Resolving Operator Panel Status/Error Messages

Message Description or Cause
Cover Open The front door is open.
Close Cover
Incorrect Rib The wrong type of ribbon is
loaded.
• The paper is empty or is not
No Paper
loaded correctly.
• The paper and ribbon are both
empty.
No Ribbon The ribbon is empty or is not
loaded correctly.
Paper Jam The paper is jammed in the
paper path.

Refer to the following table to resolve errors that appear on the
operator panel. If the error persists, contact Service and Support.
Possible Solution
Close the front cover.
Check for 6TR2 and 5TR2 on the ribbon supply
spool. If necessary, replace the ribbon with the
correct type (see
