8110 and 8110M Telephones

Power Requirements

It is recommended that the 8110 and 8110M telephones have auxiliary power (9V DC, 100 mA)
to improve the performance of the speakerphone under the following conditions:
Note:
Use with the TN746 circuit pack requires auxiliary power (in the form of a power
adapter) at all loop lengths. On System 85 and DEFINITY G2, the line must be
administered as Data Restricted to allow for the automatic disconnect feature.

16,000 feet (22 gauge)
10,000 feet (24 gauge)
6,300 feet (26 gauge)

When loop resistance exceeds 256 ohms

7,000 feet (24 gauge)
4,400 feet (26 gauge)
or
When loop resistance exceeds 180 ohms

When another analog telephone is bridged
with the 8110 or 8110M telephone
