2. Infrared Port

Select
'Menu>8.Connectivity>2.Infrared Port
Allows you to change the current status of the Infrared port
Internet
Connection: Uses the Infrared port for GPRS Modem

purposes (Only some menus and functions are accessible.)
PC Sync
Connection: Connects to PC Sync with the Infrared port.

Object
Exchanging: Sends/receives any image, sound, contact or

event file from or to any other device equipped with an Infrared Port
Deactivate: Deactivates the Infrared port

To send an object using "Send via Infrared"
1.
Align the object with the other device
2.
Select "Send via Infrared" from the option menu for the file you want to send
3.
Check the progress and completeness of the process with the Progress
screen
To receive an object
1.
Activate
"Object
Exchanging" first
2.
Align the object with the other device
3.
Check the progress and completeness of the process with the Progress
screen.

If you select the View/Play menu after the image/sound file is received, you
can view or listen to this file and then it is saved in the Image Gallery if it is
an image, or in the Sound Gallery if it is a sound file. If you select the View
menu displayed after a Contact/Event file is received, you can view this file.
When you select the Save menu on the View window, it is saved in Phone
Memory if it is a contact file or in the Event for the date specified if it is an
event
NOTE: The Infrared Port is not available for WAP connection or fax service.
Depending on which Windows operating system you have, you may not be able
to connect to the Infrared Port. For more details, see the PC Sync Guide
Manual on using the various functions of the Infrared Port
