Deregistering headset
Deregister all devices from an AT&T DECT telephone base
Following the steps, as mentioned below, will deregister all the
headsets and handsets registered to the telephone.
1. Press and hold
telephone base for about 10 seconds until the IN USE light
starts to flash, then release the button.
2. Immediately press
again. You must press the button while the IN USE light is still
flashing. (The light flashes for about five seconds. If the light
stops flashing, start again with step 1.)
If your telephone base has no
FIND HS button:
i. Press and hold the FLASH button until the screen displays
Deregister all handsets?, then release the button.
ii. Press
YES
-OR-
i. Press and hold the
displays Registering handset... followed by Deregister all
handsets?, then release the button.
ii. Immediately press and release
It takes about 10 seconds to complete the deregistration
process. The
deregistration process is successful.
NOTES:
You cannot deregister the headset(s) if any system handset/headset is in use.

Even if the battery is depleted, you can still deregister the headset by following the steps mentioned

above.
The button used for deregistration on your telephone system may be different. Refer to the user's

manual of your telephone for detailed information.
/HANDSET LOCATOR or
/HANDSET LOCATOR or
softkey.
/LOCATOR button until the screen
light flashes slowly in red and blue when the
/HANDSET LOCATOR or
/SELECT again.
