    For a wireless connection, the SSID, (also known as the wireless network name), and the wireless security settings must be the same for the router and wireless computers or wireless adapters. NETGEAR strongly recommends that you use wireless security. The router is pre-configured with WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK mixed mode and uses a unique SSID and passphrase.

    • To manually configure the wireless settings, you must know the following: SSID. The default SSID for the router is NETGEAR-3G. The wireless mode (802.11n, 802.11g, or 802.11b) that each wireless adapter supports. Wireless security option.     LTE Broadband 11n Wireless Router MBR1515 Backing Up, Restoring, or Erasing Your Settings The configuration settings of the router are stored in a configuration file in the router. This file can be backed up to your computer, restored, or reverted to factory default settings. The procedures in the following sections explain how to do these tasks.

Under normal circumstances, the router has adequate routing information after it has been configured for Internet access, and you do not need to configure additional static routes.     LTE Broadband 11n Wireless Router MBR1515 Traffic Meter Traffic metering allows you to monitor the volume of Internet traffic passing through your router’s Internet port. With the Traffic Meter utility, you can set limits for traffic volume, set a monthly limit, and get a live update of traffic usage. You enable separate traffic meters for the mobile broadband connection and the Ethernet connection.

    LTE Broadband 11n Wireless Router MBR1515 IPv6 Internet Configuration and Status Check The IPv6 screen allows you to configure and check the status of your IPv6 Internet connection. ¾ To configure the Internet connection type: From the main menu, under Advanced, select IPv6. The IPv6 Configuration screen displays.

Some ISPs (like Mindspring, Earthlink, and T-DSL) require that you use your full e-mail address when you log in.

Auto Config is selected by default. Use This Interface ID. You can enable this option and specify the interface ID you want for the IPv6 address for the router’s LAN interface.
