will illuminate and the coffee is ready to serve.
11.Serve and return the Percolator to the Base. The Green Ready I

below 72°C/161°F the unit will begin to re-boil.

CARE AND CLEANING

1. Unplug the Base from the outlet.
2. Pour out any unused coffee and allow the Percolator to cool.
3. Remove the Lid, Brew Basket, Brew Basket Cover and Percolator
Tube.
4. Dispose of the used coffee grounds.
5. Wash the Lid, Brew Basket, Brew Basket Cover and Percolator Tube
in hot soapy water, rinse and dry.
6. Rinse the inside of the Percolator with warm water and wipe the
outside with a damp cloth.
NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE THE PERCOLATOR BODY OR BASE IN
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
7. DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANSERS OR SOLVENTS
8. If necessary, once the Base has been unplugged from the outlet, wipe
with a damp cloth.
2. Descaling
Under normal use, scale build-up will form on the inside of the percolator
and will coat the stainless steel plate and element. Scale build-up may
cause the element to overheat. It may also cause the unit to shut-off
prematurely, resulting in colder coffee. Follow either of the 2 methods
below:
A) Boil equal parts of white vinegar and water (500ml/ 2 cups of each is
recommended). Once the water has boiled, allow the mixture to stand
overnight. Empty out mixture and fill Percolator to the MAX level with
fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard.
B) For heavy scale build-up, use a scale/lime remover and follow its
manufacturer's instructions.
IMPORTANT:
- The descaling process should be repeated periodically.
- Empty the Percolator after each use.
- Do not allow water to stand in the Percolator overnight.
- Scale build-up can be minimized by using filtered water instead of
ordinary water.
