Lean the machine to the left and remove the
rear wheel assembly.

Replacing the Wheel Bearing
Replace the wheel bearing in the same way as front
wheel bearing.
Replacing Tires

Remove the valve cap and lock nut from the
tire valve, and def!ate the tire.

Remove the tire from the wheel rim by the
use of two tire levers. {Exercise care to avoid
damaging the inner tube with the levers.}
It is noted that to remove the inner tube, one
side of the tire should be pried out of the
wheel rim.
Installation
a.
Insert the tube between the tire and the wheel
rim, and inflate the tube.
Be sure that the
valve stem is directed toward the wheel shaft.
At this time the tire is still halfway off the
rim.

Force the tire completely back on the wheel
rim by the use of tire levers.
For this opera·
tion, it is advisable that the bead on the other
side of the tire be pushed in toward the rim
flange.
To avoid pinching the tube between the tire
and the rim, tap the tire with a hammer as the
tire is partially inflated.
Tighten the tire valve lock nut, and inflate the
tire to the recommended presssure, then install
the valve cap.
