Connect Condensate Drain Hose to Field-Supplied
Drain Stub-Out
NOTICE
For factory supplied, shipped loose or field supplied risers
by others, the condensate pan and hose assembly are
dependent on riser location and cannot be field converted;
therefore, proper riser location must be determined prior to
placing order. See
Figure 27, thru Figure 29.
Left-hand and back riser locations share the same drain
pan configuration.
1 . Remove the two (2) screws located along the back edge of
the drain pan, holding it in place
2 . Connect the condensate drain hose to the drain stub-out.
Using the provided clamp, secure the hose by tightening
the clamp.
3 . Reinstall the secondary drain pan with the two (2) screws
removed in step 1.

Water Connections
All piping connections should be made using good plumbing prac-
tices and in accordance with any and all local codes that may apply.

Unit Piping Connection

Unit sizes 009 through 018 coil connections are gooseneck
style, made of copper tubing with 1/2" male JIC. Unit sizes 021
through 036 have 3/4" male JIC connections

Shutoff/Balancing Valve

Each heat pump requires a flexiblie hose with a shutoff valve
on both the supply and return stubouts for easy serviceability
and removal of the chassis when necessary.
Daikin recommends a factory installed 2-way motorized isola-
tion valve on the return line of the chassis and an Auto Flow
Regulator (AFR) installed on the supply line which allows
proper water flow in a given size unit. Each valve package has
1/2" JIC or 3/4" JIC threaded connections

The Vertical stack water source heat pump chassis can be
configured with a 2-way motorized valve. The 2-way motorized
valve is mounted on the return line of each unit and the Auto
Flow Regulator (AFR) is mounted to the supply line.
